EAM is an abbreviation of Easy Asset Manager, which is a complete professional inventory management and asset tracking solution. This is a unique platform – a solution that includes both software and hardware, which facilitates and greatly simplifies the business of managing fixed assets in the enterprise. We got the idea for this project after many discussions with our clients and personal experience regarding how difficult and complicated it is to successfully take care of fixed assets in the company, lists of them, reducing abuses, etc.
How EAM was created - Easy Asset Manager, a unique enterprise asset management platform
After 20 years of acquaintance and years of collaboration, Milan and Sasha have decided to try their hand at startup waters. Milan Jovanovic has been in the IT industry for over 25 years and Sasa Bajic over 17 years. We both have our own businesses, but we have decided to test an idea and set up EAM startup through Joint Venture.
Unlike other solutions, as well as modules that are integrated into various information systems and ERP software, EAM does not deal with the financial aspect of fixed assets. I realy didn’t want to make one another small accounting utility…
It deals with the actual condition of the assets that give the owner of the capital a realistic picture and view of the state of the assets in the company. It also allows the management to properly manage the same, reducing the possibility of abuse to a minimum. In order to make EAM a complete solution in addition to cloud software, web applications and mobile applications, we have linked it to hardware, more specifically to a portable printer that directs UV, water, high temperature, mechanical, UV-resistant polyethylene stickers and chemical damage.
Assets are created in a web application, through which many parameters of theasset can be tracked, which is the planned working life, who is responsible for asset, and where it is located. Each asset is marked with a QR code sticker/label. In order to reduce abuses, each list of fixed assets made simply through the mobile application by scanning QR codes, records several fixed asset images, as well as the exact geographical location. After the lists are completed, it is possible to summarize the results through census reports or export the data via a file to the ERP. Through the application, the user can see at any moment on the map a strategic overview of all fixed assets by physical locations.
The simplicity and reliability of the EAM platform that we created based on our years of experience, as well as being a complete inventory management solution, enabled us to recognize and adopt EAM as a inventory management solution for a short time. It is also very interesting that some of our clients have recognized the strength and capabilities of this solution by applying it to other areas of business that are not directly related to fixed asset management (equipment rental companies, field salespeople to track hired assets at locations clients, etc.).
