If you tried to install VMware VShere client 5.0 on Windows 10 computer so you could administer some old ESXi server, you problably had problem with installation (VMware-viclient-all-5.0.0-455964.exe or any other older version), as Win 10 is not compatible with old install distribution of VSphere 5.0.
You should get error dialog as installation fails with following error:
VMware vSphere Client 5.0
This product can only be installed on Windows XP SP2 and above.
To fix problem download latest version from VMware site, any other site where you can find VMware vSphere Client 5.0 Update 3 version (VMware-viclient-all-5.0.0-1300600.exe).
After that right click on downloaded .exe file and choose Properties. Go to Compatibility tab and try to resolve the issue by enabling Windows 7 compatibility mode in the installer’s .exe file properties. Now you can try run .exe and finish installation.
If you still have problem during installation also install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
